Statement of Condemnation
Today our hearts are heavy with grief. A brutal and senseless act of terror targeted families, friends, and communities gathered in celebration and peace at Bondi Beach on the first night of Hanukkah. The loss of innocent lives—spanning children, elders, rabbis, survivors, and loved ones—shocks our collective conscience.
We mourn with the families who lost their beloved ones and pray for strength and healing for the many injured. We honor the courage of those who stepped forward to protect others, and we stand with all who reject violence, hatred, and antisemitism in every form.
In this tragedy, we stand in solidarity with the Jewish community, the victims, and their families. We call on leaders and citizens everywhere to reaffirm our commitment to peace, mutual respect, and unity. Let us be guided not by fear, but by empathy and shared purpose. We are one human family, and together we must build a world where hate finds no foothold and where every person can live with dignity and safety.
